01 — THE MAN BEHIND THE STORIES

Two shores.
One enduring
connection.

PETER ABOARD THE TOURVILLE BAY

Some stories begin long before we do.

Peter’s great-grandfather Tome carried cargo along the Dalmatian coast from the village of Nevijane. His grandfather worked aboard that same vessel as a boy, before the family made a new home in Australia.

Today, Peter’s own life on the water is centred on the Tourville Bay, a family prawn boat based in Wallaroo, South Australia. That connection to the sea runs through his writing, his conversations, and the journeys that take him back to Croatia.
